Andrew Marr for BBC /Icon films

A couple of weeks ago I journeyed up to the house of the presenter and writer Andrew Marr to photograph him for his new upcoming documentary called ‘Andrew Marr my brain and me’ . He will chart his ongoing recovery from a stroke over the six month period during the momentous events that included Brixit, Syria and the U.S. elections.

Andrew has a very funny and overly curious half Bengal cat ( as I know from experience they are , having owned one ) . Away from the more formal and structured portrait I made a few as the cat tried to have a closer look of Andrews ‘Brain’ ! Its good to see this one was used in the article in the UK Guardian on Sunday . Enjoyed spending time with lovely Andrew , his cat and  Laura Sunnucks / Icon.

 

Charles Dance OBE. for National Geographic Channel /Icon films

This is great the actor and director Charles Dance OBE, most recently ‘Tywin Lannister’ the Lord of Casterly Rock in ‘Game of Thrones ‘.

Charles is providing the narration for the new Natural History mini series ‘Savage Kingdom ‘ , that follows warring animal tribes battling for survival in remote regions of Africa . Premiering in the U.S.A. on the NatGeoWild channel , November 25.

I was kindly asked by the producer Icon Films and NatGeo Wild channel, to provide  behind-the-scenes and promotional pictures of Charles here working in the small basement recording studio in Soho during the recordings. Lovely man, what a voice , what a production , what a film . Thank you Harry & Laura Marshall / Anna Gol at Icon . Thanks also to  the little wifey Mihaela, for providing her usual impeccable make up skills  ( for Charles, not me … although the time is fast approaching ) !
